floral hawaiian tropical sarong I have been wearing Acorn slippers forever. They are like walking on a temperpedic pillow. One year I got the entire family Acorn Slippers for Christmas. Once you try these you will never go back!

floral hawaiian tropical sarong Fun, flirty, and French!, October 17, 2007 By Meglet (Houston) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) I am an amateur historian, and even though this costume is a total lark, it does give me a little history-nerd kick. The costume is just the right quality for the price I paid - I have seen the same costume at prices almost a third more than my purchase price. That's a little too pricey, but for this particular deal from Leg Avenue, the value and quality are just right. My only major complaint, and the reason for the missing star, is the rather flimsy white back, because it is fairly see-through and shows off your choice of underthings. I know, it's a racy costume, but the outline of a bra ruins the effect a little. Still, with the right skin-tone strapless bra, it can be dealt with. You really don't need a lace petticoat, as the skirt is quite full and sturdy, but I ordered one when I ordered the costume, and it hasn't come yet. Maybe it will enhance the sex appeal even more, who knows. But really, you can get away without one and save some money to put towards a good wig. I kinda wish I had. My wig hasn't arrived yet either.I feel so pretty and aristocratic when I step into this costume, like a real courtesan, only a little more *outwardly* racy :)It definitely needs some finishing touches: some lacy thigh-highs, a white lace fan, a pompadour wig, a cameo choker, and some star-and-moon shaped patches on the face. This costume could pass for Marie Antoinette or any of the ladies of the French or English courts in almost any part of the 18th century. When it comes to footwear for this outfit, it's pretty impossible to find pearl-heeled shoes, but I think historical accuracy went out the window at the drawing board. I'll be wearing very high black heels with ankle straps, along with the stockings. In any case, fans of frills and fun, as well as fans of history and royal intrigue, will certainly enjoy flouncing around in this pretty costume!
